Do you have credit card facilities?Yes we do but not Diners Club and remember to arrange with your bank in advance in your country before you come to S.A. We prefer U.S. dollar, UK pound or Euro for cash payment, or you can transfer the money into our bank-account in advance. If you pay by credit card it will cost you the 5% more that was already discounted in the price quoted to you. [ TOP ]Will we get stuck in the dirt roads?If you keep to the road and the tracks you will not get stuck. When it rains the roads gets treacherous so please travel with caution. If you embark on a 4x4 route do as the guide reccommends and you should not have a problem. [ TOP ]What happens if there is damage to the vehicle?You will recieve the vehicle only after you have have inspected it to be in a good condition. If you damage the vehicle the first R 5000 (500pound) damage will be for your account and if he damage is more the insurance will pay the rest. In the case of a total wright-off you will be liable for 20% of the total value of the vehicle. These conditions is standard practise in the 4x4 rental business. [ TOP ]Where is Nirvana situated?Nirvana Guesthouse is right at the edge of town as you enter Upington from the Olifantshoek/Johannesburg side on the N14, it is very easy to find and there is a big brown official tourism sign next to the road. [ TOP ]Is an international driver's license required?yes [ TOP ]Do I have permission to go to Namibia or Botswana?Yes you can travel to Namibia, Botswana Mozambique etc. as long as you arrange it with the office of Kgalagadi 4X4 Hire and as long as your passport and/or visums is correct. We wil inform you on how the insurance will be affected. [ TOP ]Does a double-cab 4x4 have canopy and roof rack?Our TOYOTA 4X4 double cab vehicles are fitted with canopy's and we can also fit a roofrack with jerrycan holders for extra fuel if it is needed. [ TOP ]Advice on destinations & 4x4 routesWe do give advise on destinations and 4x4 routes in and around the Upington and Namibia region. We can also do your bookings and organize your whole trip. This will cost you much less than using a guide or travel agency/operator [ TOP ]What type of vehicle is the TOYOTA CONDOR RV 4X4 ?The Condor is a mediumsized MPV van with full-time 4-wheeldrive which assures excelent handling on gravel roads. It also comes standard with difflock, lowrange, aircon,powersteering frontload c/d,radio . We can also fit a rofrack with jerrycans for extra petrol and watertank. [ TOP ]Do you have accommodation available in Upington?Yes we certainly do. We can accommodate you at our Nirvana Guesthouse which is SATSA approved and which is part of the South African National Star Grading Programme.
